BILL YOUNGMAN (Scandinavia rec./DC rec.) New York/USA

Youngman began composing techno in 1994. In 1996 He met producer John Selway (Serotonin Records) in which he would release his first ep. In 1997 "Electro Step" was released. This ep displayed Youngman's hybrid of drum n bass tempo breakbeat chops with the tonalities and bleeps of classic electro. In 1999 "Zooted" and "Bad Box" where released for Scandinavia Records-Neil Landstrumm's imprint. In 2000, Bill released a full length cd for Scandinavia displaying a wide variety of sonic sculpting and tweaked percussion lines. An ep on Marcin Czubala's Currently Processing (Poland) label entitled "Klimba" showed the darker side to Youngman's material. At the beginning of year 2002 a full length of more downtempo abstract techno under the alias Audible was released for the cult label DC recordings. When performing live, Youngman experiments with deeply minimal melodic structures while stabilizing the user friendly electro beat. Many more projects and collaborations are in the works for this producer all with the aim at innovating new sounds and making people dance.
